Quick Tips for a More Profitable Business

An internet business can be an extremely effective and relatively easy way of making a lot of monetary wealth quickly. An internet business can be hard work to start, I wont lie to you. But once you have it all set up, it takes little effort to keep it going and the income that you can generate - sometimes simply within your spare time, can be so rewarding.

With so much wonderful information out there on how to start and quickly grow an internet business, I think you will find this subject as fascinating and inspiring as I do. Making money online is a reality - and it can definitely be done without being a 'shonk and ripping anyone off' (otherwise known as a Con Man).

A successful, legitimate and ethical internet business is not only rewarding financially but the opportunity it provides to create an income whilst maintaining a lifestyle that you want - for example spending time with your kids, working from home etc - is something that truly deserves a good hard look at! The more you learn, the more effective you will become and remember, you can never learn less!

With billions of web pages and countless email messages -- a good percentage of which are spam -- building a successful business on the Internet is hard work. Many entrepreneurs seek to create a 'full-time' income (whatever that may mean to each individual) yet find that making just a few sales is still a struggle.

Have you ever wanted to know how the experts do it? How do they make all that money and spend half their life at the beach or with their children while they do it?

Have you ever looked at your online earnings and wished you could do better? If so, then it's time for a change.

Here are just a few suggestions for building your online business:

Your most important asset - Your Sales Page

Give your website and/or sales letter a makeover. For example, some sites offer lots of free content, as a way to help people while building credibility. Others are much more direct: the entire website consists of a single sales letter. Many argue that these 'mini-sites' are far more effective in generating sales because they don't have any distractions - the visitor can focus on what you have to say. That doesn't mean you have to give up your content site ... but consider creating a mini-site to help drive sales. This single sales letter page is especially affective when explaining all of the benefits of the product you are trying to sell. It will show to people the true outstanding value of your offer and if you write it compellingly enough, will prove to them how their lives will be enriched by studying your information or process.

Things don't stay the same online for very long! Don't be afraid to experiment. Just remember to keep backups so that you can always revert to the old version if your experiment doesn't produce the results you want. And always test each change that you make so that you know exactly what it is that is working or not working for you.

As for the sales letter itself, if copywriting isn't your strength, then hire someone to do it for you. Sure, it costs money -- but a good sales letter can pay for itself many times over. A bad or average sales letter will simply not inspire people to buy your product. Sometimes you have to spend money to gain money. And if your sales letter is written by someone like Brett McFall, Mal Emery or any of the other mega-gurus in the marketing world they will guarantee that your sales letter and/or program will generate at least 10 times what you paid for their services. It is definitely well worth the money.

Don't forget about the 'real world'.

There's life outside of cyberspace! Many people prefer to be contacted by postal mail. Email has become so clogged with spam that it can be very difficult to get people to read (or even SEE) your message! The relatively 'old fashioned' way of contacting people - with promotional material, lumpy mail, catalogues, sms etc are still extremely valid and affective ways of reaching people with your message. Everyone loves to recieve what looks like a hand written envelope with their name on it and something 'lumpy' inside. By attaching a tea bag to your letter explaining your product with the tagline 'put your feet up, have a cup of tea, and listen to what I have to say' you will gain people's attention from the moment they get the envelope out of their letterbox. Remember you are competing with the multitude of bills and normal advertising letters in that sheaf of envelopes in their hand. Make your product stand out.

Whilst standard forms of marketing like billboards and TV are extremely expensive, any of these forms of physical direct marketing can work, as long as you target the audience that you are reaching. There is no point in taking out a magazine advert selling baby products, and placing it in a car racing magazine - the people reading that magazine will not at that point be at all interested in your product. If you were to spend the same money placing the advert into a magazine for pregnancy, or a womens health magazine, odds are your stike rate is going to be a huge amount higher - because you have targetted your market.

And what does this all have to do with your internet business? Why you are sending them to a website where they can get more information 24/7 - its no different from sending them to a phone number to ring - in fact it is a lot more effective. It encourages them to go have a look at your website, where your fantastic sales page will draw them in and make them see what unbelieveable value you can give them with your product. And even better you can take their order immediately. They come to your website already half sold on your product, see what value they can recieve by reading your super effective sales page, and buy your product on the spot. Now thats targeted!

Read, read, read. Education never stops!

There's always something new to learn, and even one golden nugget of information or inspiration could be responsible for a significant boost in your business!

There are countless manuals available to show you how to market your business... but realistically, you only have a limited amount of time you can devote to really reading and absorbing the information. You might choose to purchase a number of manuals, but select one of them and resolve to seriously study the material -- then take *action* on what you learn.

And that is the most important statement I can make - and it bears repeating. TAKE ACTION on what you have learnt. Dont be scared to try something. The internet is the most fantastic place because you can test multiple ways of marketing, multiple ways of writing a sales page, so many ways of reaching people online, and most of it costs very little other than time. You cant fail! And by finding someone else that knows more than you do about how to maket and create an exceptional internet business, you will be short circuiting the long haul of trial and error. Learn from the masters - they are more than willing to share their knowledge with you!

Vincent Van Gogh once said, "Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together." Keep working towards your business goals, little by little. It's the only way to get there!
